Languages
Speak in the language of your customers
You can configure the language your agent responds in, regardless of what language you use to write the prompt.
SMS Agents
For SMS agents, the language your agent responds in is completely controlled by your prompt. SMS agents can speak in nearly unlimited languages, and you'll typically want to prompt it to "You can speak any language. Respond in the language of the customer."

Languages supported
By selecting a language, Regal will send that language to the TTS and Transcription providers so that the conversation may be transcribed in the language selected. Regal supports the following languages and we are continuing to add more:
- English (US)
- English (UK)
- English (India)
- Spanish (Latin America)
- Spanish (Spain)
- Multi Lingual (English & Spanish)
- Chinese
- Dutch
- French
- German
- Hindi
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Polish
- Portuguese (Portugal)
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Russian
- Turkish
- Vietnamese
Prompt Instructions
You may write your prompt in English, but select a different language for your agent to speak. However, you also need to include prompt instructions for the agent to respond in the selected language. For example:
- ROLE: You are a Spanish speaking agent.
- TASK STEPS: Conduct these task steps in Spanish.
Multi Lingual Agents
If you select the multi-lingual option, then your agent will be able to detect the customer's language, and respond in that language. Currently, Regal's multi-lingual agent only supports English and Spanish, but we are adding more languages to this option.
Native Accents
By selecting a language, it will not enforce the agent to pronounce the generated text in a certain accent. English speaking agents can be made to speak other languages, but you may not like the accent. In that case, you'll have to select a voice that speaks that native language.
